This rip fence *should* come with the saw, but doesn't. It isn't fancy, and has no frills, but performs exactly what it is designed to do. I'd love it if Skil would include this one with the saw and offer one with a micro-adjustment at additional cost - but they don't do either of those things. Being able to find the right one to fit my saw at a reasonable cost is the next best thing. Thanks.
I just installed the VEGA 26 on my Porter Cable portable saw. The written instructions could be better. But, they let you know kind of where things go and it is easy to figure out. I had to make a little stick to hold the nut in place for the front left mounting bracket as it was located about 3 inches down a narrow channel on the front of the saw table. Other than that, it was easy. A million times better than the crappy fence that came with the saw. I have had my Porter Cable for three years with a Forest blade and Rousseau cart and have been pleased with it, except for the fence. I can remove the front bar for transport in 10 seconds. Oh, I also had to move the glide pad on the bottom of the fence so it would ride properly on the back bar- but that only took about 3 minutes.
